My name is Frances Bousfield. I worked for many years in corporate life as the HR Director and senior business leader for a FTSE 100 company based in the South of England. I loved my job however it was pretty all consuming. It was very pressurised and left little time for my family and well …life!
A couple of years ago I made a huge lifestyle change with my husband and son and moved to beautiful Northern Cumbria. I now live a short distance outside Carlisle in house that we have renovated. I can honestly say it’s the best thing I have ever done. I decided I wanted to do something that complimented some of the skills I had learned in my 25 year career and which also incorporated some of things I loved about my job. In short, working with people and helping them to develop them-selves to be the best they can be.
I love to see people feeling good and as a result being able to go out and achieve anything they want. I believe colour and style can have a huge impact on that. I know from my own experience that how you look on the outside affects how you feel about yourself and how others respond to you.

In order to enhance my existing skills I undertook intensive training in colour and style with internationally renowned Colour Me Beautiful. As well as formalising my existing knowledge I learned a huge amount about myself, which I found invaluable. I set up Carlisle Style and my beautiful studio in a converted stable at my home. During the last three years as a Colour Me Beautiful consultant I have had the pleasure of doing style and colour consultations and style updates with individuals, and small groups. I have also done a number of parties and presentations to businesses and groups. I have met many lovely people who come back to me for further help and advice. I have also been given an award by Colour Me Beautiful which I was delighted to receive as I love what I do, it really doesn't feel like work at all!
